Here is what Colleen has to say about Hugo:
"My family and I moved from White Bear Lake to Hugo in 2002.  We LOVE the small town feel with all the conveniences of the bigger cities nearby.  Including but not limited to: a beautiful new Festival Foods, many new restaurants, dry cleaning, beauty salons, work out facilities, etc.  The city of Hugo is located in northern Washington County , approximately 20 minutes north east of St. Paul .  So far it has a population of 12,000 people, but Hugo is continuing to grow at a rapid pace!  Thankfully, the city has been well-prepared for the increased growth.  Over the years, they have made the necessary improvements with water, sewer and roads to keep up with the constant demand.  The City of Hugo is divided among 4 independent school districts: Forest Lake , Mahtomedi, Stillwater , and White Bear Lake .  There are two schools located right in Hugo: Oneka Elementary and Hugo Elementary.  There are 13 city parks (with many more to come) and 2 golf courses.  In early June, the Hugo Lions Club sponsors Good Neighbor Days which is our annual carnival with rides, games, and concessions."
